Senanis Rubaiyat Notes

Four quatrains, gathered together

A Senanis Rubaiyat brings four quatrains together into a sixteen-line poem. Each line is a six-word Senanis Moment, and each group of four makes a stanza with its own movement.

Rhyme connects the line endings within each quatrain. In The Ideal Afternoon, the first three stanzas use an AABA pattern, while the final stanza carries one rhyme across all four lines. That closing run of rhymes helps the poem settle into nightfall.

The four stanzas trace a change in time and attention: arrival, the lively café, a pause to relax, then writing until evening. The recurring setting lets each six-word moment stand alone while contributing to the full arc.
