Senanis Quatrains Notes
Four moments in rhyme
A Senanis Quatrain is a four-line stanza. Each line is a six-word Senanis Moment, so every line can hold a complete image or thought while contributing to the larger poem.
The line endings follow an alternating ABAB rhyme pattern: the first and third lines rhyme with each other, as do the second and fourth. The rhyme links the moments across the stanza and gives the poem a sense of return.
Within that shared pattern, the four moments can move through a scene, a change in perspective, or a small progression. The constraint joins them while leaving room for each line to resonate on its own.
